3 Peak Sponsored Climb Raised nearly £1,000

On 7th November 2010, 22 members of the Quickdraw Climbing Club met up at the Slab Wall in EICA to climb the equivalent height of Britain’s top 3 peaks  Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike (3407 metres in total).  At the end of the 4 hours they had allotted themselves for the challenge, and after some impressive individual performances, they in fact topped 7,272m, more than twice their target and the equivalent of the World’s 92nd highest peak, Mount Mana in the Himalayas.

With some money still to come in, the sum raised is currently standing at £912.50  We can also claim gift aid on some of this sponsorship.  This is a tremendous result and a huge thank you goes out to everyone who took part - climbers, belayers and organisers.

These funds will be ploughed back into club activities that are open to all members, so if you didn't participate this time and want to do your bit please get in touch with the committee with your fund raising ideas.
