Limekilns (Weem) - 27th October 2018

It was a sparse, skeleton crew that attended the outing, after a couple of late call offs there was only Steph and Lachlan so the decision was made to head to Weem with Neil Busby from Eica.

A great day was had by all with several routes attempted, in the morning we were blessed with intermitant sunshine which kept the chill at bay somewhat, however later in the afternoon it became slighty chilly, cold to the bone to be honest but that's Scotland for you.

Bowden - 29th September

Matthew, Steph, Louise, Finlay, Niambh, Ella, Rosa, Charlotte and Fred, on a try out, attended Bowden, with Nic and Ellie as coaches and the Blytonesque bonus of a dog, Astrid, Nic's beloved mxed up Golden Retriever which doesn't retrieve but, rather, takes things away.

The weather was bright and sunny with blustery wind and matters began at Sheep Pen by warming up on the boulders. then back to the start. Transformer was a popular problem for many of the attendees, whilst some trad cimbed for their first time, showing excellent gear placement in the process.

Yorkshire - 25th & 26th August

It was time for the annual "weekend away" for the Quickdraws, the chosen venues this year to be Brimham on the Saturday and Ilkley on the Sunday.

29th July - Kirriemuir (Avertical World)

With the weather waxing more Scottish and less tropical, the decision was made to change the venue from Kirriemuir to Avertical World in Dundee.

Thus it was back to the renovated church for Steph, Holly, Kenzie, Lachlan, Charlotte, Jamie and Erin, along with impending new recruit, Lyla.  Vikky from EICA kindly attended in a coaching capacity given Buz is apparently M.I.A. and has been since his 40th.

30th June - Kyloe Out

With bright sunshine, great climbing and great company, Kyloe Out was a sure fire winner. Steph, 2 Ellas, Holly, Erin, Finlay, Hannah, Matthew, Jamie, Daniel Lachlan and three potential recruits : Charlotte, Erin and Ingrid all attended and all had a great time with plenty routes, sport and traditional ,with bouldering too, all of varying grades to keep everyone entertained and stimulated. Our group leaders from EICA were Neill Busby and Andy Innes.

26th May - Back Bowden

Back Bowden was the venue for the second outdoor Quickdraw outing of the year, a couple of hours drive down the A1 and another twenty minutes to find the crag if you have never been there before.

5th May 2018 - Rob's Reed

With Spring in the air and a spring in the step it was Rob's Reed hosting the first Quickdraw outdoor climb of the year, after a late change of venue from Kirriemuir.

It was a a typical dreich morning in Dundee as the fresh faced children and rather bleary eyed adults arrived at Avertical World in Dundee, an old church converted, extremely well, into an indoor climbing facility.
